In a far, far away land known as Vipplebat, there lived a lonely creature the littlest, lonely crab-rat.

His father left him long ago, and he had no mother to be found. So the crab-rat had no family, or anyone around.

The crab-rat tried to make friends, as best a crab-rat could, but no one gave him a second thought, his efforts did no good.

He'd invite other creatures over for dinner, but no one would ever come. "I wish that I could have a friend, I wish I could have just one."

"Stop bothering me," one beeble beetle said, "you're really starting to bug me. I have no use for a crab-rat you see, for you are far too ugly."

The crabrat spotted a wibble bird, and thought he'd try again. "Wibble birds seem nice," he thought, "perhaps this one will be my friend."

"Get out of here you smelly crab-rat, get away from my nest. On a scale of 1 to 10, you are a 3 at best."

So the crab-rat sat at home alone nibbling on his cheese and fish. "I wish I could have just one friend, I wish I wish I wish."

"Making friends is hard, when looking like I do. Perhaps I'll try another place, I'll try somewhere new."

So the crab-rat left Vipplebat and headed east towards Nogg, and as he crossed a busy street, he spotted a blind dog.

The blind dog started to cross the street, not seeing the trumble-bus. "I have to help him or he'll get hit. I must I must I must."

The crab-rat jumped into the street and pushed him out of the way. But the crab-rat took the hit and now on the street he lay.

"Thank you my friend, you saved my life. This is what I'm told." And though the blind dog could not see, he could see the crab-rat's heart of gold.

The crab rat winced in pain, and he knew it was the end. But he smiled as he drifted away, for he'd finally made a friend.
